Why Join our Church

My Wife and I both grew up within another faith.  While we both practiced that faith off and on throughout our years we realized we needed something more.  A greater sense of God, Jesus, community, giving back and the love of our fellow man.  A friend of ours recommended Batesville United Methodist Church and from the first day we attended, Hoagy (the Greeter that day) said hello and welcome, we knew this was home.  

Pastor Chris welcomed us into the congregation and within a year we were "official" Methodists. Each Sunday Pastor Chris provides the best Sermons.  He talks from the heart, relates to modern day and past occurrences, teaches history of the Bible and brings Bibilical references to affect modern life.  

During our short tenure at Batesville UMC we have met the best group of people whom now we consider friends and brothers/sisters in faith. If you would like to be part of something greater I urge you to attend our service, volunteer, give back and get to know the people of the Batesville United Methodist Church.  I can tell you from experience it will be a life changing event.
